Arkadiah Technology (“Arkadiah”), is proud to announce that we recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the provincial government of Quirino, Philippines, for the conservation and protection of natural resources and the restoration of critical landscapes in the Sierra Madre Mountain Range.
This partnership is timely as the world increasingly turns to nature-based solutions for climate action, in alignment with the recent Article 6 agreement between Singapore and the Philippines. This MOU reflects the importance of international cooperation in carbon markets and underscores our commitment to sustainable environmental management.
Arkadiah will deploy cutting-edge technologies, including AI, LiDAR, and remote sensing, all integrated within NatureOS – Arkadiah’s natural accounting platform. This advanced approach will enhance the transparency, efficiency, and impact of conservation efforts in Quirino.
Reuben Lai, CEO of Arkadiah, emphasised the project’s significance: “We’re making this a generational project, building a greater Quirino and a better planet for our children. By integrating AI with ecological restoration, we’re achieving critical outcomes: building on the Philippines’ National Greening Program, revitalizing biodiversity, and improving local livelihoods through verifiable carbon credits.”
Govenor Dax Cua of Quirino highlighted the province’s environmental importance, stating, “Quirino is an environmental jewel of the Philippines and the headwaters of the Cagayan River and Casecnan, which irrigate Central Luzon—the food basket of the entire Philippines.” He stressed the province’s responsibility to ensure sustainable resource management for current and future generations.
Govenor Cua also noted Quirino’s unique position: while not yet industrialised, it has the opportunity to finance environmental protection projects with assistance from industrialised regions by investing in carbon offsets. This approach aligns with the province’s commitment to sustainable development.
The MOU outlines that Arkadiah, in collaboration with FTZ Solutions, Inc. in Philippines, and the provincial government, will identify suitable lands for carbon project development. The provincial government will provide the necessary approvals and permits, ensuring the smooth implementation of the project.
This partnership marks a significant step towards to environmental conservation in the Sierra Madre Mountain Range. By combining Arkadiah’s innovative technology with local expertise, the project aims to drive measurable, high-impact restoration. The collaboration aims to contribute meaningfully to both local environmental preservation and global climate action efforts, setting an example for nature-positive solutions that can create lasting economic and community benefits.
