Arkadiah™ is a nature tech company that revives degraded lands through AI-enabled nature restoration in Asia. We are a small ambitious team looking for a sharp, curious and driven intern to work closely with Head of Carbon & Biodiversity to establish various types of data repositories, documents, and processes to facilitate analyses needed for carbon project scoping and MRV purposes.
What You’ll Do
- Scientific data collation (e.g. species-specific allometric equations from the region, above ground biomass estimates etc.) from various scientific databases and grey literature in a systematic manner
- Assist team members to write various types of documents (e.g. pre-feasibility reports)
- Follow and document the latest technological developments in carbon and biodiversity monitoring
- Provide support on additional team initiatives or duties as assigned e.g. making Powerpoint slides, tracking developments in voluntary and compliance carbon markets etc.
You’re Someone Who Is/Has
- Background or interest in one these fields — ecology/conservation biology or remote sensing/GIS/GEE or GHG quantification/carbon markets or sustainability
- Strongly believes in climate science and technology and wants to contribute to the field in the long-term
- Highly driven and would meaningfully contribute to the team’s evolving needs
- Can work independently with low to medium supervision in an unstructured environment
- Good teamwork and communication abilities
- Can dedicate at-least three days in a week to internship and flexible to work across Asia time zone
- Has good internet connection
Additional Information
If required, a certificate of internship will be provided only upon successful completion of 3 months or required duration for credit-bearing internship module.
